Annie has been a member of MENG in Northern California since 1999. Professionally, Annie is President of Leapup Marketing, a management consulting and marketing solutions company she founded in 2003 after the merger of iVillage with Women.com where she was CMO. Leapup has assisted over 100 clients to-date in consumer-based businesses spanning travel, retail, technology and professional services. Leapup’s sweet spot is developing marketing strategies leveraged by technology solutions which drive customer acquisition, relationship building and retention.
Annie’s cross-functional and diverse background includes over 25 years of experience in consumer market research, business strategy and marketing program development. She has directed brand launches and turnarounds and led marketing campaign implementations across entertainment, media, apparel and health service categories. Her tenures at both fortune 500 and startups have included senior level roles in marketing, merchandising and management consulting at the Walt Disney Company, Levi Strauss & Company and Women.com (now part of NBC) and American Medical International where she was part of the McKinsey & Company strategy team. Annie holds a BA degree in Economics from Princeton University and an Masters of Science degree in Health Policy and Management from the Harvard School of Public Health.
